Our School
Brown’s Church of England Primary School is situated in the village of Horbling, 7 miles from the town of Sleaford, just off the A52 between the towns of Boston and Grantham, serving the area of Horbling and Swaton. Overall the catchment area is mixed. There are a number of children who attend from outside the area. The number on roll has steadily risen over the last few years and there are now 96 children on roll. The published admission number was raised to 15 from September 2004 - so the school has the capacity to grow to 120 children on roll.
The school was founded in 1691 and is steeped in history. It moved to its present site in 1957. We have 4 light, spacious and well-resourced classrooms. Our new school hall was completed in 2007.
The site is open and spacious and features a conservation area and pond, Peace Tree and Reflection Area, extensive playing fields, a trim trail and playground.
